April 19, 2020
It’s hard to imagine Perry’s freshman season going much better. Perry, from North Kingstown, finished third in the state in goals with 19 and with her eight assists, her 27 total points tied her for fifth in Rhode Island. Perry’s play was a welcomed addition for the Storm and she’ll enter next season as a player to watch.

March 1, 2020
The South County Storm hockey co-op experienced about as many highs and lows as one team can in a three-game playoff series. Squaring off against the Moses Brown/Coventry/Smithfield co-op, the Storm won in overtime in Game 1, lost in Game 2 despite outshooting the competition by a wide margin and then faced a 1-1 deadlock after the first period of Game 3.

Shut out for the full 45 minutes in game two of its quarterfinal series, the South County Storm co-op girls hockey team needed less than a minute to set the course for a different outcome in game three.

When the season opened with two straight losses back in December, it looked like the South County Storm co-op girls hockey team might be in for more of the same after two down years.
As it turned out, they had just skated against the top teams in the state, and two months later, the Storm has slotted in just behind them.

The South County Storm was one goal away from playing for a championship last season. It was the surest sign yet that the co-op squad is fully back in business after a few down years. With some veterans mitigating key personnel losses and another wave of talent coming in, the Storm expects to keep the trajectory pointed up this season.
